For the first time in a number of years, eight members paid a visit to the impressive Buddhapadipa Temple in Wimbledon on Thursday, 8 August.

After refreshments the Group were briefed by the Abbot on both the Temple’s history and his own personal history. This was followed by a guided tour of the extensive gardens including a visit to one of our former members Frank Pons’ memorial tree (photo below).

The Abbot then gave the Group a final address within the Temple and it is very much hoped that the visit will serve as a catalyst for a closer relationship between the Society and the Temple - particularly, as the Chair received a special invitation to the Abbot’s Birthday Service on Sunday, 11 August!!
