A Reception at The Royal Thai Embassey to honour ‘Dressing Gods & Demons: Costume for Khon’ Exhibition

Saturday 6th May 2017 10:30 am at The Royal Thai Embassy

The Royal Thai Embassy cordially invites ATS members to attend a Reception to be held at the Embassy from 10.30 - 11.30 hrs on Saturday 6th May. Light refreshments and Thai delicacies will be served.

The Reception will precede the Exhibition which will be open to the general public from 11:30 am to 4:00 pm. The Exhibition is part of London Craft Week 2017 where the Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles will showcase “Khon Costumes” at the Victoria & Albert Museum from 2nd to 5th May 2017, and at the Royal Thai Embassy on 6th May 2017.

The complete schedule of events for the Exhibition at The Royal Thai Embassy on 6th May is as follows:

10.00 am: Doors open
10.30 am -11.30 am : Invitation only Reception with light refreshments. Demonstration on how to wear Monkey's Costumes and a 10-minute presentation of Royal Khon performance (The Monkey part)
11.30 am - 4:00 pm : Exhibition opens to the general public. Demonstration on how to wear Demon's Costume and a 10-minute presentation of Royal Khon performance (The Demon part)

The demonstration and display of Royal Khon costume embroidery and ornaments will take place throughout the day.
