Charity Dinner in aid of Ban Tharn Namchai Orphanage
(Tsunami Orphanage Centre, Kao Lak, Phang-nga)
Primarily under the management of Duang Prateep Foundation, The Thai Children's Trust has taken over the funding of education and welfare for over 40 tsunami orphans. The dinner, which took place on Thursday, 20th May, 2010 at Thai Square Restaurant in Covent Garden, was organised by the Thai Children's Trust (formerly Pattaya Orphanage Trust) with the support of the Anglo-Thai Society. The Director of the Centre, Khun Rotjana Phraesritong and a small group of children from the centre visited the UK to meet & thank their sponsors & friends, and the children performed a traditional Thai dance at the dinner.

Songkran Festival at Buddhpadipa Thai Temple, Calonne Road, Wimbledon. Wat Buddhapadipa is unique in Europe. The only Thai temple in the UK purposely built in the Thai architectural style and a perfect place to celebrate Songkran in London. The programme of events includes the chance to make offerings to monks and enjoy Thai food and cultural performances on stage. Free entry, all welcome.
